Why Discover Wellness Exists

Discover Wellness grew from a simple realization: lasting well-being does not come from doing more. It begins with awareness.

For many years, my work centered on supporting and leading others. Through youth ministry, basketball coaching, and aerospace engineering, much of my life focused outward, structured around responsibility and performance.

Over time, I noticed a quiet sense that something within me needed attention, even though nothing appeared obviously wrong from the outside.

That awareness did not arrive as crisis. It arrived as an invitation to slow down, reflect, and listen more closely to what I had been ignoring.

Like many people I work with now, I had been competent and dependable while quietly disconnected from my own signals. What was missing was not effort or discipline. It was space. Space to listen. Space to reflect. Space to reconnect.

Discover Wellness grew from that experience and from formal training in health and wellness coaching that provided structure to what I had begun learning personally.

What began as personal reflection became a professional practice grounded in clear standards and defined scope.

You are not broken, and you are not behind.

Sometimes what is needed is not more effort, but clearer attention and a trusted place to bring your questions.

Jarred Green
Founder, Discover Wellness

Jarred is a health and wellness coach based in Huntsville, Alabama. His work focuses on helping thoughtful, capable people slow down, notice patterns in their lives, and make steady changes that feel sustainable rather than forced.

Before founding Discover Wellness, Jarred spent nearly fifteen years in engineering while also leading and mentoring others through youth ministry and athletics. His coaching practice combines reflective conversation with structured guidance rooted in professional coaching standards.

My Approach

Meaningful change does not begin with doing more. It begins with noticing how your habits, environment, expectations, and internal narratives interact.

This noticing is guided by curiosity rather than judgment. It assumes there is intelligence in your experience, even when it feels messy or contradictory.

Well-being is personal. Change rarely follows a single path or standardized plan. It unfolds as you understand yourself more clearly and create conditions that support your real life rather than an idealized version of it.

This work follows the same simple progression used throughout the practice:

Notice → Understand → Integrate

Coaching is not about fixing yourself or chasing who you think you should become. It is about understanding who you are now and supporting growth from there.

Professional Foundations

This work is informed by formal training in wellness coaching, ongoing professional education, and professional coaching standards.

My background in aerospace engineering and leadership roles shapes the structure of this practice. It brings systems thinking, clarity, and disciplined problem framing into a space that remains human, relational, and adaptable.

I hold certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and am completing training toward National Board Certification in Health and Wellness Coaching. This work is aligned with established coaching competencies, ethical scope, and evidence-informed behavior change approaches.

The structure is professional and ethically grounded.
The work remains personal and relational.

Why This Work Resonates

You may not be looking for more intensity.
You may be looking for steadiness.

Approaches that prioritize productivity, optimization, or rapid change can miss what feels most important: the context beneath the pattern.

You may know what you want to shift, but find that motivation alone does not sustain change.

Discover Wellness offers a steady partnership so you do not have to navigate that alone.

The aim is not dramatic transformation. It is clearer alignment, steadier movement, and a more grounded relationship with your own experience.

This work moves through trust, consistency, and small, meaningful steps taken in a steady direction.

An Invitation

If something in your life or well-being deserves attention, you are welcome here, even if you are not sure what that is yet.

You do not need to have it fully articulated to begin.

Wellness isn’t something you build. It’s something you discover.

A simple, low-pressure place to begin.

Discover Wellness
Cultivating growth from within.
